When a Visio diagram needs to be published to a wider audience such as intranet or internet users, Visio provides a way to directly publish the diagrams as HTML pages that can then be deployed on a web site.

To publish a diagram to a web site, first save the diagram as web page by selecting File > Save as Web Page.

The Following is a view of a diagram published as a web page as viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer. When viewing Visio diagrams published as web pages, a navigation pane is rendered to the left of each diagram in the Visio Document. This navigation pane supports a Paning and Zooming widget using which the diagram can be zoomed in and out. If the Document contains diagrams spanning multiple pages, then Visio also provides a mechanism to navigate between pages.

Contents of the Navigation Pane can be suppressed by deselecting the corresponding Publishing Options. To view and modify the publishing options, click the Publish button on the Save As dialog.

In order to deploy a diagram published as web page. You must copy not only the .HTML file that you specified, but also the contents of a sub-folder that also gets generated in the specified target folder which contains the images and other supporting files necessary for viewing the published web pages, to the destination web site..
