Adding Text to Shapes in Visio 2003

You can add Text to a shape to indicate what it is representing. The Text can be formatted and rotated to blend in with the rest of your diagram.

To add text to a shape in the drawing page:

Select the shape then click the text tool button on the toolbar

OR

Double Click on the Shape and start typing the text.
