Adding Text to Connectors in Visio 2003

There are several ways to add text to a connector.

Method 1 - Select the connector by clicking the connector. Start typing the text. When done, click outside the text editor area within the drawing page

Method 2 - Select the connector by clicking the it. And click the Text Tool on the toolbar. Visio the places a small text editor window over the connector into which the text can be entered.

Once added, the text associated with a connector appears right in the middle of the connector line in a drawing.

The connector and associated text's properties can be altered by selecting Format > Line, or Format > Text from the connectors context menu.
