Adding Independent Text in Visio 2003

To add a Title or any other Text to the diagram, click the Text Tool once and move the mouse pointer to the drawing page, the cursor changes to indicate that the text tool is now active. Click on the spot where the text should be inserted. Visio may zoom the drawing area to provide a better view of the text being entered. Click the pointer tool in the toolbar (see Fig. 5) to release the test entry mode. Visio will automatically "select" the text that was just entered.

To change the text's properties, while the text is still selected, use the formatting options such as Font Type, Font Size, etc., from the Formatting toolbar.
