On the Road Again
"Elusive" is one word that you can use to describe success. However, once you have learned how to get over a particular failure, you need to ge back on track by realizing what your strong points are and working on your weaknesses.
By now, it should be self-evident that success is an ever-changing, ever deceptive and elusive goal. It is not by any means impossible to be successful. It is however, impossible to remain stagnant and successful at the same time. Success requires you to keep moving and even more importantly, to keep doing.
We all get knocked down sometimes and that is just a fact of life. The key to being successful is not letting anything keep you down. When you are forced to endure a failure you need to find out why and make sure that it does not happen again. Once that has been accomplished, reassess your goals and then get back up and have another go.
Start off slowly
If you have been experiencing problems in reaching your stated goals but all of the inspection (and introspection) has shown you that they are truly obtainable objectives and worth both the time and the effort to pursue them, start off a little more slowly this time. Examine the different stages of your goals and look for common ground and common factors between both your successes and your failures.
If there are certain areas where you excel and other areas where you seem to reach a good portion of your failures; look at each objective carefully and find out what they all have in common with each other. In rare instances, there will not be any discernible cause but this truly is the exception and not the rule.
Find out where your strong points are and where your weak points are and work to strengthen your weaknesses and fortify your strengths. Each of us has unique and undeniable skills and abilities in some area of our lives. Not everybody will find these in time to be able to do anything great with them but knowing what to look for will help you in defining your own skills and your apparent skill levels as well.
