Defining Personal Success
This section discusses how success is perceived by each individual.
The bottom line is that success is going to be different for anyone and everyone that is looking for it. However, it is not enough to be searching for something. It is in fact, necessary to be looking for something in particular if you every hope to have any chance at … well … success.
It is often said that the longest journey begins with the smallest step. This is true for any successful venture no matter how large, how small, how personal or how public the ultimate goal may be. Personal Success is not a constant but actually a succession of goals which are summarily completed, leading the individual on to the next one in line.
So how therefore, is it possible for someone to be a success? Is it a state of mind? Is it relative to what they have or how much they have achieved? Was there some point in a successful person’s life when they found that defining moment of enlightenment and found themselves suddenly successful? Unfortunately, success is never that easy to discover or to achieve.
Successful people are not at any given destination. Their life and their successes are all a matter of smaller pieces all coming together and forming to combine each success individually. What they have done differently than most people is to plan, organize and think things through.
Then, when they are well-armed with all of the necessary information that is available, they base a set of goals on certain circumstances and work for that success. It is not handed out, bought, sold, nor in any other way attainable for anyone. Success has to be worked for and earned and no matter who you are or what you are, there is no way around that.
