Working with Photo Albums

Here we go over the other ways of modifying and customizing your photo albums.

Adding Captions

Open the Photo album you want to make changes to.

Click Format > Photo Album > Picture Options

Check the Captions below ALL pictures check box.

Note: If your picture layout is fit to slide, you cannot add captions below your pictures.

Click Update.

In normal view, add the text you want in each text box under each picture—if you don't add your own text for each caption, Microsoft PowerPoint will automatically use the file name of each picture as the caption.

Adjust the Contrast or Brightness of a Picture

Open the Photo album you want to make changes to.

Click Format > Photo Album.

In the Format Photo Album dialog box, under Pictures in album, select the picture you want to adjust, and then do one or both of the following:

  1. To adjust the contrast of a picture, click More Contrast or less contrast.
  2. To adjust the brightness of a picture, click More Brightness or Less Brightness.

Click Update.

Display Pictures in Black and White.

To Display all the photographs in Black and White,

1. Open the Photo album you want to make changes to.

2. Click Format > Photo Album > Picture Options

3. Select the ALL pictures black and white check box.

4. Click Update

Moving Pictures and Text Boxes

Open the photo album you want to make changes to.

Click Format > Photo Album > Pictures in album

Select a picture or text box

Click Move Up or Move Down.

Click Update.

Rotating a Picture

Open the photo album you want to make changes to.

Click Format > Photo Album > Pictures in album

Select the picture you want to rotate, and then click Rotate Left or Rotate Right.

Click Update.

Deleting a Picture or text box

Open the photo album you want to make changes to.

Click Format menu > Photo Album.

Format Photo Album dialog box opens

Under Pictures in album, select a picture or text box

Click Remove.
