Slide Sequence and Text Effects
At certain point, you might want to change the sequence of slides or add certain text effects. The following are the methods to achieve it.
To change the order of slides:
1. On Outline Tab in normal view, select one or more slide icons. Then drag the selection to a new location.
2. On the Slides tab in normal view, select one or more slide thumbnails, and then drag the selection to a new location.
3. In slide sorter view, select one or more slide thumbnails, and then drag the thumbnails to a new location.
To add Text effects:
1. Add or remove an embossed effect from text.
- Select the text you want to change.
- Click Format > Font> select or clear emboss check box.
2. To Change a Text or object animation.
- Display the slide in which you want to change an animation.
- If the Custom Animation task pane is not displayed, on Slide Show menu click Custom Animation.
- On the Custom Animation list click the animation item you want to change.
3. Adding various effects:
- To make the text or object enter the slide show presentation with an effect, point to Entrance and then click an effect.
- To add an effect to text or an object that is on the slide, point to Emphasis, and then click an effect.
- To add an effect that makes text or an object leave the slide, point to Exit and then click an effect.
- To add an effect that makes an object move in a specified pattern, point to Motion Paths and then click an effect.
Note: If you want to remove an effect, just select the animation item in the Custom Animation list and then click remove animated effect. To remove an animation scheme on the Slide Show menu, click Animation Schemes. In the task pane, under Apply to selected slides, click No animation.
To add text shadows and 3-D effects:
1. You could add a shadow or embossed effect directly to the text. When you use this method, you can't change such shadow features as offset or color.
2. Also, add a shadow or embossed effect to an unfilled object that contains text is another approah. With this method, the text takes on the same shadow options as the object, and you can control and change shadow features.
3. another way is inserting WordArt—a drawing object that contains special text effects such as shadowing and perspective.
To add/change, or remove the 3-D effect from a shape
- Select the AutoShape that you want to change.
- On the Drawing toolbar, click 3-D Style, and do one of the following:
- To add a 3-D effect, click the option you want.
- To change a 3-D effect—for example, its color, rotation, depth, lighting, or surface texture, click 3-D Settings, and then click the options you want on the 3-D Settings toolbar.
- To remove the effect, click No 3-D.
