Modifying Lines and Connectors

Here we show you how to customize the look of your lines and connectors.

To change the color of a Line or Connector:

1. On the Drawing toolbar click the arrow next to Line Color

  • For the default color, click Automatic.
  • To change to another color, click one of the colors below the “Automatic” tool.
  • To change to a color that isn't displayed, click More Line Colors.
  • Click the color you want on the Standard tab, or click the Custom tab to mix your own color, and then click OK.

To change the style of a line or connector:

1. Select the freeform object or curve you want to change.

2. On the Drawing toolbar, click Draw > Edit Points.

3. To reshape the freeform, drag one of the vertexes that form its outline.

4. To add a vertex to the freeform, click where you want to add it, and then drag.

5. To delete a vertex, press control and click the vertex you want to delete.

Tip: For greater control over the shape of a curve, after you click Edit Points, right-click a vertex. Use the shortcut menu to add other types of vertexes to refine the shape of the curve.
