Inserting a New Slide
Now that you've created your first slide and started your presentation, we'll show you how to add new slides to it.
1. To insert a new blank slide click New Slide on the formatting toolbar.
2. In the Slide Layout task pane, click the layout that you want.
Tips:
(a) You can also insert a new slide from the Slide Layout task pane: Point to a layout, click the arrow, and then click Insert New Slide.
(b) If you want to keep the Slide Layout task pane from displaying each time you click New Slide, clear the Show when inserting new slides check box at the bottom of the pane.
Slide Layout
PowerPoint offers different slide layouts within a presentation. For instance, on one slide you can have a title, three bulleted points, and an image. On another you can have a title and a chart.
When you create a new slide, you can choose from a number of slides with Predefined layouts. These layouts offer you readymade templates.
