Hiding and Showing Slides

If, after review, you feel that some slides may not be required. Then, you could use the Hide Slide feature of PowerPoint.

To hide a slide:

  1. On the Slides tab in normal view, select the slide you want to hide.
  2. Click Slide Show > Hide Slide.
  3. The hidden slide icon appears with the slide number inside, next to the slide you have hidden.

Note: The slide remains in your file, even though it is hidden when you run the presentation.

Showing a hidden slide:

  1. On the Slides tab in normal view, select the hidden slide you want to make visible again.
  2. The hidden slide icon appears with the slide number inside, next to hidden slides in the Slides tab.
  3. Click Slide Show> Hide Slide.

To view a hidden Slide during a Slide Show

  1. Right-click any slide during a slide show, point to Go to Slide.
  2. Numbers in parentheses indicate hidden slides.
  3. Click the slide you want to view.
