Headers and Footers

At this point, let us look at certain details like the workshop name, date etc. to appear on each slide. Particularly, how do we use the Headers and Footers features on the slide master.

Adjusting the Placeholder

You can adjust the text position inside the placeholder using the following methods:

Click the text inside the Placeholder.

On the Format menu, click Placeholder.

Click the Text Box tab, and under internal margin, use the arrows to change the numbers in the Left, Right, Top, and Bottom boxes.

Adjusting Text Position in a Placeholder

Click the text inside the Placeholder.

On the Format menu, click Placeholder.

Click the Text Box tab, and in the Text anchor point box, click an option.

Activity:Create the 5th slide to describe details about the “Six Paradigm Of Human Interaction”. In the Title placeholder of this slide, type as follows:

“Six Paradigms of Human Interaction”.

In the Bulleted Text placeholder, type:

Win/Win is not a technique; it’s a total philosophy of human interaction. It is one of the six paradigms of interaction. The alternate paradigms are Win/Lose, Lose/Win, Lose/Lose, Win, and Win/Win or No deal. Win/Win is a belief in the Third Alternative. It’s not your way or my way; it’s a better way, a higher way.

In the Clip Art placeholder, insert the Certificate graphic.

TIP: If the text in the placeholder moves outside the slide area, click inside the placeholder. A border with selection handles appears around the text. Use the mouse to drag the placeholder in order to make the text fit inside the placeholder.
