Working with Slides
In this chapter we go over the basics of creating and working with slides.
In This Chapter:
- Slides and Placeholders
- A slide is like a digital card or a single word processing page in a document, on which you can place your text, graphics, charts, and other items.
- The First Slide
- Now we show you how to create the first slide to start your presentation.
- Inserting a New Slide
- Now that you've created your first slide and started your presentation, we'll show you how to add new slides to it.
- Changing Slide Order
- But can you change the sequence of the slides, and rearrange the presentation? This is easy and here we show you several ways to do that.
- Splitting Body Text onto Two Slides
- If you have too much text to fit in it's text area on the current slide, you can have Powerpoint split the text up and display the second part of it on a new slide.
- Duplicating Slides within a Presentation
- These are inserted directly below the slides you have selected.
- Adding and Deleting Slides
- You can define custom slide shows and add or choose whatever slides you want to show in it.
- Hiding a Slide
- You can exclude slides from your presentation by hiding them.
- Zooming in or Out on a Slide
- You can zoom in the view of a slide to get a closer look at what you're working on.
- Sending Slides to MS Word
- You can embed slides or link them to Word documents.
