Starting Power Point

Here we go over the different ways of starting your work by creating a Powerpoint presentation.

Getting Started

To get started, here are the different ways of creating a Power Point presentation.

  • Auto Content Wizard
  • Design Template
  • Blank Presentation

AutoContent wizard: This PowerPoint feature allows you to begin with a set of preformatted slides that contain content and design categorized according to themes. It is a special step-by-step guiding program, which is the the quickest way to jumpstart a presentation for beginners.

Design template: This component provides you with the presentation design, such as color scheme, fonts etc. This is also another quick feature, although you have to insert the content on your own.

Blank presentation: This is document that has neither suggested content nor design. It is set of blank slides, with default values for color scheme, fonts and other design features. You may change the values to create a different look. So, you have complete ownership of the final presentation in terms of both, the content and the design. Using the Blank presentation method is for advanced users who are already familiar with the interface and how they function.

To start a blank presentation,

  1. Select the Blank Presentation option button.
  2. Click OK.
  3. The New Slide dialog box opens.

You are now ready to input an appropriate title for the first Slide.
