Adding pictures

In the fourth Slide, let us try to insert some images.

To add pictures to your slide:

1. Insert a new slide.

2. Select the Text and Clip Art Auto Layoutfrom the New Slide Dialog box.

3. Click in the Title placeholderand type the following text:

Personal Mission statement

4. In the Bulleted Text placeholder, type the text:

Succeed at home first

Seek and merit divine help.

Never comprise with honesty

Remember people involved

5. Shift your attention to the Clip Art placeholder. This is where you insert a graphic from Microsoft’s Clip Art Gallery

6. Double click in the placeholder.

The ClipArt Gallerydialog box opens.

7. In the Clip Art tab, select All Categories and using the vertical scroll bar, bring the (will put new image) graphic into view.

8. Select this graphic and click on Insert.

This action inserts the graphic into the placeholder in your slide.

9. Click outside the placeholder to deselect it.

Adding Pictures from Files

You can also insert images from other sources. Here's how to do it:

1. Select Insert > Picture > From File.

The Insert Picture dialog box will appear.

2. In the Look in box, browse for the drive and folder where the artwork is Located.

3. In the File name box, enter the name of the file.

4. Click the Insert button.

5. The drawing is now inserted in the slide.
