Working with Images

Photoshop has a robust set of import filters and can open images created from a variety of sources. Images created in programs such as Adobe illustrator, CorelDraw retain their sharpness when placed into a Photoshop document.

Tina knows that you can import images into Photoshop- even those created from other applications. Photoshop has a robust set of import filters and can open images created from a variety of sources.

To open images from within a PDF document choose File > Import > PDF image.

Navigate to the PDF image and click ok. A PDF image import dialog box opens. Choose the image you want to import.

Click ok and the image will open.

To place an image. You can place images created in programs such as Adobe illustrator, Macromedia Freehand or Corel Draw.

  • Create a blank document.
  • Choose File > Place.
  • Choose the image you want to place.
  • A image in an hounding box is seen.

  • Click ok to render the Final placement.

To Scan an image into Photoshop

  • Choose File > Import > Twain ( or scanner software name)
  • The scanner software will open. Make adjustments accordingly.
  • Click Scan. The image is scanned and transferred to Photoshop.
