Using Filters

Photoshop comes with a range of filters. A little experimentation and some time playing around with the filters will go a long way in achieving interesting results. You can also using combination of various filters.

Photoshop comes with many filters. Let us see a few of the important ones. You can produce special effects using some of the filters and experimenting with various options.

Using Radial Blur to zoom into an image. This effect adds movement and excitement to an image. It is similar to snapping a picture while zooming into an image. This effect will be difficult to achieve with a photograph. To do this open an image.

Select Filter > Blur > Radial Blur.

In the radial blur dialog box > select Zoom blur method and set the amount slider to a small amount.

Click ok and see the effect.

Combining filters using the Filter Gallery helps us create the illusion of a hand painting or a pastel image from any photograph.
