Layer Styles
Layer styles are using two or more effects together. You can use the layer styles for later use which will save time and the trouble to recreate each effect every time you want to use it.
When you use two or more effects together, it is called a layer style. Layer styles can be saved for later use, so that you will not have to recreate each effect every time you want to use it.
Creating Styles
The possibilities are endless and when it comes to creating styles there is no substitute for experimentation. To create a style create a new layer, choose a gradient layer effect from the menu. In the dialog box that opens create a new golden gradient and change the angle setting.
Click Bevel and adjust settings.
Apply a Bevel contour. Choose satin set the color to white and blend mode to lighten.
Click on Drop shadow change the softness, distance and opacity. The layer effects can be seen below.
