Freeform Selection Tools
These selection tools give you more choice and freedom in your selections.
Freeform Selection Tools offer more freedom in the selections of tools. These are,
- Lasso tool. You can drag it around the image like a pencil on a piece of paper.

- Polygonal Lasso. Draws only straight lines

- Magnetic Lasso Detects the edge of an image and adds temporary anchor points called fastening points.

- Magic Wand. Useful for images with a large area of solid color, where the selected object is a different color from the background. When you make a selection with the Magic Wand some areas get missed in the selection because the color may have gradated to a hue outside of the chosen range. To use this tool, choose the desired settings, click the color you want to select and the magic wand will do its work.
