Filters
Filters change the texture, shape, form or color of images. Filters can sharpen or blur an image or they can be used for complex manipulation, such as lightening effects and distortion.
Photoshop is used almost everywhere in movies, creating posters, magazines and in the design and entertainment industry. The flexibility and the way Photoshop can manipulate images using filters can transform a dull image into something interesting.
What are filters?
Filters help change the texture, form, color and shape of images. You can sharpen, or blur an image. You can use them for complex manipulations such as lightening effects and distortion. There are two types of filters:
- Production Filters. To enhance the image
- Creative Filters To create special effects that mimic reality or mock it.
The Filters Menu
You access the filters in Photoshop by choosing them from the filter menu. The thirteen main groups of filters are available which contain several options.
