Choosing Colors

Photoshop allows you to select from a range of colors. You can choose the foreground/ background color, fill a portion of an image and do many more things.

To Choose a Color double click a color swatch. The Color picker will open.

Click and drag the hue selector to the desired hue.

Click and drag inside the Color Picker window to choose the exact tint of the color you want to choose. Click Ok. The color swatch displays your new color.

To fill the entire portion or just portions of an image first make a selection. To apply the color to the image,

  • Choose the Paint Bucket tool and click anywhere in the image to apply the current foreground color.
  • Choose edit, fill and choose either Foreground or Background colors to fill with currently chosen colors.
