Setting up Outlook for E-Mail
This guide will show you how to set-up at least one email account on Outlook. You can set-up Outlook to read from several email accounts as you want.
Setting up Outlook for email is easy. The task involves creating and specifying settings for at least one mail account. Each Outlook account corresponds to a particular e-mail address on a particular Internet server to which you connect via a particular method. You can create as many Outlook accounts as you need.
The first thing that Elizabeth does is to create an account.
To create an account
- Choose Tools > Email accounts.
- The mail account dialog box opens.
- Before you start a new account you should have the following information ready with you.
- Email address for the account.
- Server type and server names.
- Logon name and password.
- Click the "Add a new email account" in the dialog box.
- Click next.
- Select the type of email account you want to add from the options.
- After selecting the type of email account fill in the information to create the account. Let us create an email account using the POP 3 server
- Enter the required information and click next
- The new email account has been created.
You can view the account by clicking the "View or change Existing email account" in the dialog box.
