Outlook Today and Outlook Bar
Outlook today gives you a summary and overview of your activities for the day. This guide will show you how to customize it according to your preferene.
When you start Outlook for the first time, you will probably start in Outlook today. Using an interface like a web browser, Outlook today provides a glance of the daily list of activities.
Elizabeth begins her work with Outlook Today which is a simple but effective summary view of the daily activities. It lists the appointments and tasks that she has scheduled, displays an inventory of the mail folders and lets her look up names in the contact folder quickly.
Outlook Today works like a browser, i.e. to view an item listed on the page, just click it once. You can customize the Outlook bar. You can add, move or remove shortcuts for Folders and other items. To add a Folder or other shortcut to the Outlook bar right click over the bar (but not over an icon), choose Outlook Bar shortcut. Use the look in list to display the folders. Reorganize shortcut icons by dragging them to new positions on the Outlook bar. To delete unwanted shortcuts or to rename shortcuts right click the icon. Choose remove.
