Calendar
This guide shows you the features of the Outlook Calendar and its uses.
Calendar lets you manage your time more efficiently scheduling appointments and events with ease. You can select one day, weekly or monthly calendar views. You can create appointments, meetings and events in a calendar.
Let us see the basic calendar screen. To select a view,Click the calendar button and the basic calendar screen appears.
To add a new appointment. You can add a new appointment to a particular date and time by double-clicking on the time slot. Do the following in the appointment form:
- Type the subject, location in the respective fields.
- Click the checkbox "All day events "checkbox if this is an event.
- Enter the time and date for an appointment and day for event.
- Use the reminder checkbox and speaker icon for reminders and to play a sound.
- Under "show time as "choose free, Tentative, Busy, or out of office.
- Add comments in the text area.
- Specify which contacts are associated with this appointment by clicking the contacts button at the bottom.
The Scheduling Tab gives a graphical representation of people's availability.
Note: Outlook can convert scheduling data in other programs to its own format. You can send calendar information to users who are not on your network.
