Adding and Editing Tasks
This guide will show you how to add tasks or send and assign tasks to others using Outlook.
You can either assign a task to yourself or send a request to someone else to take on a task.
After having a look at her daily needs Elizabeth wants to add certain additional tasks and edit the existing tasks. This is how she does it.
To Create a task from scratch:
- On the File menu, Select New > Task.
- Type the task name in the Subject box.
- Select a due date and a start date.
- Select the Status of the task from the drop down list.
- Select the priority for the task from the drop-down list.
- Select a % complete from the drop down list.
- Select date and time.
- Complete any other boxes on the Task and Details tabs for information you want to record for the task.
- Click Recurrence and frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly) at which you want the task to recur.
- At regular intervals.
- Based on completion table.
To Change a task to a Recurring Task:
- Open the task you want to change to a recurring task.
- On the Actions menu, click Recurrence.
- Select the frequency (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly, Yearly) for the task to recur.
