Sending Documents
You can send documents as emails to multiple recipients. If you want to send the document to only one participant, send it as an attachment in an e-mail message.
Now that the newsletter is ready, how does Nick send the newsletter to all his friends?
Send a file to participants in an online meeting.
Only the host of the online meeting can send the shared document to participants.
On the shared document's File menu, point to Send To, and then click Online Meeting Participant.
All participants in the online meeting receive the shared document in their \Program Files\NetMeeting\Received Files folder.
From the Copy dialog box, recipients of the document can opt to close the dialog box after receiving the document, open the document, or delete the document from the saved location.
If you want to send the document to only one participant, send it as an attachment in an e-mail message.
To send a file for review
When you send a file for review, a review request form is created automatically with the following:
- A link, an attachment, or both a link and an attachment to the file.
- A follow-up flag
- Message text for the reviewer. This text will vary depending on the location of the file.
- When a reviewer receives the file, the reviewing tools are enabled and displayed.
- The files returned from reviewers automatically prompt you to merge changes.
To send a document as an attachment
Open or create the file that you want to send as an attachment.
On the File menu, point to Send To, and then click Mail Recipient (as Attachment).
In the To and Cc boxes, enter recipient names separated by colons (:).
To select recipient names from a list, click the To or Cc button.
By default, the file's name appears in the Subject box. If you want, you can type your own subject name.
You can include an additional file in the message by clicking Attach. Locate and select the file you want to include, and then click Insert. Repeat for each additional file you want to include.
Click Send.
