Selecting the text to delete a word

After typing the headline of the article, you realize that you have written the headline as “Thrills of Night Water Rafting”.

To correct the headline, you must delete the word Night. You could do that either by:

  1. Placing the cursor to the left of the word and pressing the Delete key, or
  2. Placing the key to the right of the word and pressing the Backspace key.

Activity:You could also select the word Night and press the delete or backspace key. To select the word:

  1. Move the cursor to the left of the word Night.
  2. Left-click and hold the button down.
  3. Drag the mouse to the right of the word. A black bar will then appear over the word Night.
  4. Release the button.

To delete, simply press the Backspace key.
