Selecting the Paper Size

For different documents, you have to use papers of different sizes such as for a greeting card, nametag, or an envelope. Word allows you to set the paper size to a number of different types of standard paper sizes, as well as your custom setting.

Paper size is the length of each page. You can choose the predefined paper sizes or customize the paper size.

Nick wants to use an A4 size paper for the newsletter. So he changes the paper size. Let’s see how,

  1. Click File>Page Setup.
  2. In the dialog box, click the Paper Size tab.
  3. Click on the arrowhead to open the drop-down list of predefined sizes (letter, legal, tabloid, A3, A4 etc.)
  4. Choose A4.
  5. You can also type specific values in the height and width boxes for customizing the paper size.
  6. Click OK.
