Print Preview and Printing

Part of the printing process is looking at a preview of exactly what your document will look like on paper, because this is often different from the version you work with on the screen.

Finally, the first draft of the newsletter is ready. But before taking a print out, Nick wants to preview the document.

In Ms Word, you can view your document in three different ways:

1.Normal View: Here, you can see only the text inside the document. This mode lets you quickly insert text and scroll around your document. Click View > Normal

2.Page Layout View: It gives you an actual view of your document. However, in this view, the text and scrolling slows down. Click View > Print Layout

3.Zoom Feature: With it, you can magnify your document up to five times. So, you can see even the smallest detail easily. Click View > Zoom. You can choose the zoom level by choosing the options given below ‘Zoom to’.

PRINTING THE DOCUMENT

1.Click File > Print on the menu bar.

2.The Print dialog box opens.

3.Click OK to close the dialog box.

4.After a moment, the printer comes to life. If all goes well, a printout of your document comes out after a few minutes.

How does it look? Well, congratulations! You have just printed your first document.
