Inserting a Symbol
Microsoft Word has a facility to insert special characters into your documents. Let’s insert a symbol at the end of the article.
Right at the bottom of the newsletter, Nick wants to insert a symbol to indicate the end of the article; the way he has often seen in many newsletters. But how?
Microsoft Word has a facility to insert special characters into your documents. Let’s insert a symbol at the end of the article.
- Place your cursor in the document where you wish to insert the symbol.
- Click Insert > Symbol in the menu bar.
- A window will open.
- Under Fonts select Wingdings

Select this symbol
and double click. The symbol will be inserted in your article.

Now, select this symbol
and double click.

The two symbols should look like this -

- Click on Close to finish.
