Entering Data in the Table
Now we show you how to enter data into the table you just created.
1. Make sure the blinking cursor appears in the first cell of the table.
2. Type the text.
3. To move to the adjacent cell, press the Tab key.
4. To add text to the table, click in the cell where you want to write, and start typing.
Activity: Here is a list of events for the month of September.
1. Following the Butterfly Trail, Saturday, September 8, 2005, 6:00 am – 10:00 am
2. “Snow Leopard”, a film by Wild Films, Saturday, September 15, 2005, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
3. Overnight camp by the lakeside, Saturday, September 22-23, 2005, The campers will leave at 4:00 pm on Saturday and return by 10:00 pm on Sunday
4. Chat session with Everest climber, Sir Edmund Hilary, Saturday, September 30, 2005, 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Create a table with four rows for the events’ name, and three columns to display the name of the event, date, and time respectively. Make the headings bold.
