Creating a New Document

When you open Word, a new blank document will open automatically. There are also several other ways to create new documents and open existing documents.

Create a New Document

1. Click the New Document button on the menu.

Or, choose File > Newfrom the menu.

2. Choose Blank Document under the General option

3. Click OK.

OR

Press CTRL+N (press the CTRL key while pressing "N") on the keyboard.

4. Each of these methods will create a new document.
