Case Study: Create Letters and Envelopes with Word
Two very common tasks that go hand in hand are writing letters and labeling and addressing envelopes.
To write a letter quickly and easily:
1. Click File > New on the menu bar.
2. Click the Letters & Faxes tab.
3. A dialog box opens.
4. Select any of the Letter templates (Contemporary, Elegant, Professional).
5. Replace the text highlighted in gray with your particulars, and voila! Your letter is ready.
To create envelops:
1. Click File > New on the menu bar.
2. Click the Letters and Faxes tab.
3. Select the Envelop wizard.
4. A dialog box opens.
5. In the Delivery address box, enter the mailing address.
6. In the Return address box, enter or edit the return address.
7. Click Options to select an envelope size, the type of paper feed, and other options.
8. To print the envelope, insert an envelope in the printer
9. Click Print.
