Add a Border to a Table
Here we show you how to add borders to your tables.
To make the table look more attractive, Nick gives it a border.
There are many effects you can add to a table. You can add borders and use shading to fill in the background of a table.
Here’s how you add a border to your table,
1. Click Format > Borders and Shading.
2.Click the Borders tab.
3.Use the Style, Color, and Width options to add a different border.
4.In the drop down menu under Apply To, make sure that you choose Table.
Tip: To quickly add borders and shading to a table, select the table, and right click. Select the ‘Table AutoFormat’ option. Choose from the several predefined border and shading styles available here.
Activity: Design a sale sign. Write the items on sale and the discount on them within a table with a border.
