Hi all - I've been working on this for too long and finally decided to reach out for some help. I'm using MS Word 2007. I've created a long document with a TOC and the appropriate headings. However, when I try to insert a chapter-page number in the footer I get the following error (I've checked "Include Chapter Number" in the page format screen): "There is no chapter number to include in the caption or page number. To apply chapter numbers use the MultiLevel List button on the Home tab and select a numbering scheme that is linked to styles."
