Aligning Text
Alignment is the way in which data is placed within the boundary of a cell. By default, Excel applies the appropriate horizontal alignment to each of the data types. These include numbers, dates, text, formula, or time.
Data in cells can be aligned left, center, right, or across the selection. To align cells, select the cells and click on the alignment tool in the Format toolbar.
TIP: Numbers are always right-aligned while text is left-aligned.
Center Across Selection

1. Select cells A1 to I1.
2. Click Format > Cells > Alignment.
3. Click on the drop-down arrow for Horizontal.
4. Choose Center Across Selection.
5. Click OK.
