The Second Description Box
A quick overview of the item listed
The second description box gives you a quick overview of the item that includes whatever information the seller chose to include here. In this example that includes type, format, brand, optical zoom, condition and other information specific to this camera.
The Large Description Box
Each seller provides different information to a varying degree. This seller used in the example is a volume seller and has provided alot of information. You definitely want to thoroughly read the information here as this is where the seller manually types in any information pertaining to this specific item such as any defects, warranty information, specific condition, shipping terms, etc. There are many helpful details in this example:
- For example, here you will see that the shipping charge is a flat $11 to anywhere in the continental (48 states) USA, meaning they won't ship outside the US or to certain states (those not in the continental USA). It also informs you that sales tax will be charged to ALL states and shows you how to determine what the sales tax will be.
- They explain to you the condition of the item, that when tested it works, there are minor cosmetic imperfections, the color and that it is not in the original box.
- It then goes on to tell you what IS and IS NOT included with this camera. As you will see in this example, they are letting you know that the lens cap and manual are NOT included. You will then need to decide whether that is okay with you or not. If not, DO NOT BID on the item as they are stating ahead of time these are not included.
- It then goes on to give you the specifics of the camera (these are most likely taken from the manufacturer's web site)
