Second Chance Offer
Purchasing an item even when not winning the bid
Second Chance offers are initiated by the seller and allow you to purchase an item that you weren't the winning bidder on. If you receive a second chance offer you can use checkout and it is covered just as other items are. There are several instances when a seller will utilize this type of purchase:
- When a winning bidder did not follow through on the purchase of the item
- A reserve price auction ends without the reserve price being met
- The seller has more than one of the same item but did not list it as a multiple item auction
