Second Chance offers are initiated by the seller and allow you to purchase an item that you weren't the winning bidder on. If you receive a second chance offer you can use checkout and it is covered just as other items are. There are several instances when a seller will utilize this type of purchase:

• When a winning bidder did not follow through on the purchase of the item
• A reserve price auction ends without the reserve price being met
• The seller has more than one of the same item but did not list it as a multiple item auction
