The BIOS

This section is all about the BIOS and how you can properly enter the time and date on your system.

Entering the bios.

Refer to the manual of the motherboard that you use to know what to press to enter the bios (usually esc , delete or F1). Once in the bios you will see this screen:

bios  general

Here you will be able to change the time and date. This time and date are used by windows as a reference point so it is important to have them current.

The boot option will allow you to decide what device to boot from.

boot device

The hard drive should be the first. Use the boot option (see the manual) at startup to choose the cdrom as the boot device if you need it. If everything works your first build is done and you can go to the Operating System section to continue.
